Missional Communities

Missional Communites are mid sized groups of 15-40 people that connect together for community, discipleship and to make a difference in the world around them.  They are a bit like extended families that are small enough to care but big enough to dare.

We are seeking to develop these missional communites (MC) as our primary places of local mission.

Here is a wikipedia article about missional communities.

We currently have two missional communities that are developing in response to the visions people in our church have had to connect to their neighbourhoods and/or networks.

Ashwood
An MC meeting in and around Ashwood and seeking to be a blessing to Parkhill Primary School.  We are made up of families with with young children, families, with teenagers, and other adults.

Soul Food
An MC meeting in Blackburn North connecting with friends and neighbours.  We are primarily made up of families with young children.
