Thinking about the bible
The bible is vital and central to our lives as followers of Jesus. However, as we learn to love God more fully with 'all our mind', we need to think about how the bible is central to our lives, and how it operates in our personal and corporate settings.
This is something that we are planning to look at together on the last Sunday in June. But in advance of then, it would be good for you to do some reading. Here are two resources that you might like to read. I'm not suggesting that you need to take them as the final word, however, I hope they will stimulate your thinking and enable you to contribute your thoughts and questions to our discussion on the 26th of June:
An online article by NT Wright: How can the bible be Authoritative?
A book by Scot McKnight called 'The Blue Parakeet: rethinking how you read the bible'
