As we read and preach through the book of Isaiah, it might be helpful to keep in mind the following framework:

Isaiah is One Book
With two sorts of writing
Poetry and Narrative
In Three Main Sections
Isaiah 1-39	Isaiah 40-55	Isaiah 56-66
Speaking to Three Situations
Pre exilic Royal Wealth	Exile in Babylon	A Modest Rebuilding After return from Exile
Referring to Three Main Kings before the Exile
Two Pre-exiclic Kings of Judah - Ahaz - Hezekiah		King of Assyria - Sennacherib
(And one king during the exile)
Cyrus the King of Persia
With Three Main Themes present throughout the book but with different emphases in different sections
Judgement	Comfort	Hope
Based on the Revelation that there is only ONE God
who should be trusted in to bring Salvation
